Worcester Cemeteries & Crematorium
Worcester Crematorium is undergoing a major refurbishment, scheduled to last until Summer 2026.
During that time, funeral services are being held at the KGV Hub in Ash Avenue, off Brickfields Road, WR4 9TL.
The Book of Remembrance has temporarily moved to the Guildhall in High Street WR1 2EY. It can be viewed Monday-Saturday – opening times below.
The grounds of Astwood Cemetery are open as normal throughout the refurbishment period.
Worcester City Council’s Bereavement Services aims to provide each person who enters our care with a calm, caring and professional service. Our team endeavours to meet the needs of those who are going through their bereavement journeys by offering efficient and friendly advice at every step of the way.
We recognise that each funeral is different, and whilst there can often be similarities from one service to the next, we are dedicated to supporting family and friends to say goodbye to their loved one through a poignant and personal service.
Worcester Crematorium is currently undergoing a major refurbishment, with the installation of new cremators.
During this time the Bereavement Services team has temporarily moved to the KGV Hub in Ash Avenue – just a seven-minute walk from the Crematorium – where funeral services are being held with the same high level of service that you would expect.
