A special memorial service is being held at Astwood Crematorium and Cemetery on Thursday December 5.
This is an opportunity for people from across Worcester to come together and remember the loved ones they have lost over the past year.
Tickets are free, however numbers are limited to 100, so local residents are being encouraged to apply for tickets as soon as they can.
“With festive celebrations round the corner, many people will be facing a very different Christmas from those they have known before, because of the loss of a loved one,” says Alice Davey, Head of Community Services at Worcester City Council.
“Our memorial service is an opportunity for people to come together, share the experiencing of grieving for a loved one, and also celebrate that person’s life.”
The service, starting at 2.00pm on December 5, will be led by the Reverend Andy Todd, of St Stephen’s Church. People of all faiths are welcome.
After the service, light refreshments and mince pies will be available.
